Last night I rocked Brianna before putting her to bed just like I do every night. She had her head on my shoulder and all of a sudden sat up and said, "Mommy, did baby Jesus get borned yet?".
Me: "Yes"
Brianna: "He comed out of his mommy's tummy?"
Me: "Yep"
Brianna: "But I didn't see him yet!"
Me: "That's because he was born a long time ago. He's not a baby anymore."
Brianna: (very confused) "But when can I see him?"
Me: (trying to figure out how to respond) "When you get to heaven"
Brianna: "Well, maybe I can just ride on a donkey. Then I can go see him."
I just smiled.
